The Cook County State's Attorney announced the launching of VINELink, an Internet-based system which provides custody information on inmates in Cook County Jail and information on criminal cases (felony and misdemeanor) pending in the Circuit Court of Cook County. It also allows interested parties to register for telephone or e-mail notification when there is a change in custody status or court date.
This site is a web version of the existing AVN (Automated Victim Notification) telephone system.
In addition to the State's Attorney's Office, both projects were made possible through the cooperation and dedication of the Offices of the Sheriff, Chief Judge, Clerk of the Circuit Court , President Stroger's Bureau of Information Technology and Automation (BITA) and the Appriss Company.
