Our mission is to procure quality goods and services for Cook County agencies at the best market value.

To achieve this goal, the Office of the Purchasing Agent is committed to procuring goods and services in an efficient manner with a savings by competitive bidding, increased consolidation of specification for county agencies, and increasing the use of county-wide contracts for commonly used items.

We are committed to facilitating the procurement needs of Cook County Agencies. In addition, we will maintain an environment in which vendors receive fair and impartial treatment when doing business with Cook County. 
 

 

Recent purchasing news:

  • The Cook County Open Data website was launched to create transparency and accessibility to Cook County data.  Inlcuded among these sets of data are contract awards from the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer, which will continue to be updated with new awards.
  • The new Cook County Procurement Ordinance is passed unanimously at the September 7th Board Meeting to improve the efficiency of the procurement process, maximize value, and expand MWBE engagement

Countywide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

Request for Information (RFI) #11-50-051, was issued by the Cook County Department of Purchasing on February 3, 2011, for the countywide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System and the related System Integration Services.
