The Open County Initiative site is a part of Cook County's pledge to provide the residents of the county with a more transparent and accountable government. This site provides easy access to areas of information, records and data transparency throughout the county. Additional information will be included as it is made available online.

 

This site is divided into the following sections:

• Budget and Finances
  information on budget, taxes, finance, purchasing, and other data in regards to the finances of Cook County

• Online Check Register - NEW
  search contract payments made by the County starting FY2010.

• Government
  information on Board meetings, proceedings, elected officials, administrative officials and elections

• Property and Taxes
  information on the building permit process, local taxes and property taxes.

• FOIA
  information on submitting Freedom of Information Act requests to the various County agencies and elected officals.
