The Cook County Law Library serves the legal information needs of the legal profession, judiciary, government officials, litigants and the public in Cook County. The Law Library accomplishes this goal by providing an exceptional staff and extensive collection of practitioner-oriented and practical legal materials in print and electronic format. 

 

The Cook County Law Library, encompassing the main library and five branches in the outlying courthouses, contains more than 300,000 volumes. Specialized collections include government documents, foreign & international law, and a rich, historical federal and state law collection.

 

The availability of timely, authoritative legal resources promotes access to justice for all.
